Two facing OUI drug charges in New bedford

Two people are being charged with OUI-drugs after they were found under the influence of drugs behind the wheel on Sawyer Street in New Bedford on Monday.

At 1:55pm, New Bedford police officers noticed a person asleep behind the wheel in the area of 553 Sawyer Street with the engine still running. After investigating, officers determined the operator was under the influence of drugs and transported to the hospital – charges are forthcoming.

At 6 pm, New Bedford police officers noticed a person asleep behind the wheel in the area of 310 Sawyer Street with the engine still running. After investigating, officers determined the operator was under the influence of drugs and transported to the hospital – charges are forthcoming.
