Tips to police lead to arrest of three New Bedford men on narcotics charges

New Bedford Police Department narcotics unit charged three people Tuesday after executing a search warrant for possible heroin activity at 118 Sycamore St. third floor.

Rafael Mota-Martinez, 24, of New Bedford, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, conspiracy to violate drug laws and carrying weapons (a knife.)

Bryan Nadeau, 51, of New Bedford was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin with intent to distribute (second offense.)

Ana Donovan, 55, of Fall River, was charged with possession of Suboxone with intent to distribute.

The incident took place at about 6:40 p.m.

The New Bedford Police Department thanks residents who tipped off police to suspicious activity in the area. We encourage others aware of suspicious activity to call police.
