Yesterday morning at approximately 8:30am a 66-year old New Bedford man was robbed while in a store in the area of Davis and Acushnet Ave. He was not injured.
The victim was waiting in line to make a purchase when a young, dark-complected male came up behind him and reached into his pockets. A struggle ensued as they wrestled to the floor. The suspect was able to flee the business with a small amount of cash from the customer’s pocket. He was last seen running east on Collette St. then north through the yards before continuing east on Davis St.
