The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center Presents Smash Mouth and Tonic

1990’s multi-platinum rock powerhouses Smash Mouth and Tonic come together for a U.S. summer tour arriving at The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, Thursday, July 16 at 8pm. Smash Mouth has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide with hits like “Walkin’ on the Sun” and “All Star.” Platinum selling, Grammy-nominated Tonic has six top 10 singles, including the #1 most-played rock song of 1998 “If You Could Only See.” Tickets to see Smash Mouth and Tonic start at $39, and are available online at www.zeiterion.org, by calling The Z Box Office at (508) 994-2900.

The timing is right to bring these bands together as they both reach their 20th anniversary career milestones. “We’re super excited to hit the road this summer with the guys from Tonic! Get ready because as you know Smash Mouth will be bringing the party!” says Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell.

“We are looking forward to playing music with some old friends and being able to actually watch them play. It’s going to be a fun summer,” says Tonic’s Emerson Hart.

Along with supporting their favorite bands, fans will be able to support a range of causes close to the bands hearts including local food based initiatives and health- based initiatives in conjunction with Love, Hope, Strength (http://www.lovehopestrength.org/) who will be on site in select markets registering potential marrow donors and generating awareness about their cancer centers and education programs.

About Tonic:

Hart founded Tonic with guitarist Jeff Russo – a childhood friend – adding bassist Dan Lavery shortly after inception.
