Help us celebrate with Music, the Arts, History and the Culture of the New Bedford Area.

The 1833 First Unitarian Church, The 1855 First Universalist Church (Gallery X), and the 1829 First Baptist Church are not only historic structures they are vital and can offer so much to the community This is a chance to visit and learn a bit of the history of these beautiful buildings and our efforts to save these treasures long into the future. AHA!, Your Theatre, WHALE , The City of New Bedford and many others have combined efforts to help showcase this city’s incredible talent and diversity. New Bedford has recently been ranked one of the top ten most creative cities, come help us show it off.

We will be closing William Street from Sixth to Eighth from noon until 4 PM. Lots of things to do for all! Kids activities in the garden of the First Unitarian Church.

MUSIC Thank You to all the performers who have offered their time for this event. The Tryworks Auditorium, The Sanctuary of the First Unitarian Church and also the Garden, The First Universalist Church will all be alive with Folk , Chorale, the New Bedford Symphony, New Bedford Harbor Sea Chantey Chorus, Harpoon Harmonizers, the Jethros and the Toe Jam Puppet Band and so many more and it all is FREE.

ARTS There will be Art and photography exhibits at Gallery X , “Ship Shape” and the benefit arts show benefit for the Schooner Ernestina– Morrissey. In the Frederick Douglass Gallery will be paintings of Donald Beal and David Paulsen. and at the Parish House of the First Unitarian Church in Collaboration with New Bedford Beautiful of photos of New Bedford.
