The New Bedford Police Association is sponsoring a telephone fund-raising drive. This drive will help support the families of officers killed in the line of duty and offset funeral expenses for retired officers and their spouses.

Anyone who donates will receive a free ticket to a magic show scheduled May 17 at Keith Middle School.
The fund-raiser is being hosted by Civic Awareness Inc. in Philadelphia and is expected to last two to three months.

Anyone with questions should call Det. Sgt. Victor Mendes, 508-991-6300, ext. 79502; Officer Scott Decosta, 508-991-6355; or Sgt. Albert Farland, 508-991-6360.
