The Atwood House & Museum in Chatham, Massachusetts

Here’s a look at the The Murals of Alice Stallknecht in the mural barn at the Atwood House & Museum / Chatham Historical Society.

“Perhaps one of the most interesting displays at the museum are these murals that provide a picture of a small town in the 1930’s and ’40’s. Executed during that period by noted local artist Alice Stallknecht Wight. All of the people represented in the murals were residents of Chatham when Alice Stallknacht painted them.”
