Donald Santin, 22, of Taunton, has a pending superior court case, where he is charged with trafficking more than 600 pills of Percocet. Despite the open case against him, the defendant was arrested again on June 9 in Taunton on charges of distribution of Percocet, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

He was observed by police allegedly selling the narcotics in a grocery store parking lot in Taunton. He was found to be in possession of 26 Percocet pills and more than $2,000 in cash.

Since his arrest occured on a weekend, the defendant had his bail set at $1,000 by an on-call clerk. The defendant posted the bail and was ordered to appear in Taunton District Court on the next day for his formal arraignment. The defendant, however, never showed up in court and has defaulted on the case. An arrest warrant has been issued.
