On Monday, January 28, 2019, at approximately 8:33 p.m. members of the Dartmouth Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Jewelry Express inside of the Dartmouth Mall.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect had smashed a glass case with a hammer, and made off with assorted jewelry valued at over $87,000.

After a regional broadcast regarding the vehicle was put out, officers from the Lakeville Police Department located both the suspect and his vehicle in their town.

As a result of a corresponding investigation by Dartmouth Police Detective Derek SOUSA, 30-year-old Drew Beck of Taunton, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, vandalism, use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, and larceny of property valued over $1,200.
