Suspects identified and an arrest made in the residential Burglary at the home of Rob Gronkowski

The Foxborough Police and our law enforcement partners are pleased to report that an arrest has been made and two other suspects are being sought, but remain at large, in the case of the Gronkowski burglary.

As a result of outstanding and tenacious police work by Foxborough Police Patrolmen and Detectives and superb collaboration and cooperation from our law enforcement partners including, (NESPIN, Randolph Police, Boston Police, Weymouth Police, Canton Police, Massachusetts State Police, Numismatic Crime Information Center and the Norfolk DA’s Office) a search warrant was executed at the home of Anthony Almeida in the town of Randolph early this morning.

The following Foxboro officers were present: Lt. Michael Grace, Det. Patrick Hoffman, Det. Patrick Morrison, Ptl. Scot Taggart and Ptl. Steven Easter and they were assisted by Randolph Police Department, Boston Police Department (Official), Weymouth Police Department, and Canton Police Department.

Randolph Officers included: Sgt. Christine Morse, Sgt. Douglas Morgan, Det. Christopher Jones, Ptl. Vardy Duperval, Ptl. Shawn Palmer, Ptl. Marc L’ltalien.

Boston PD: Det. Joseph Downing

Canton PD: K-9 Scott Brown

As a result of that search and the ongoing investigation, Anthony Almeida was arrested for B&E Nighttime, two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and Malicious Destruction of Property and was arraigned this afternoon at Wrentham District Court. He is a 31 year old resident of Randolph. He is pictured in the attached booking photo.

Still at large, but being sought in connection with this investigation is Shayne Denn, age 26, of Tewksbury is wanted for B&E Nightime, three counts of Larceny of a firearm, Larceny more than 250.00, Malicious Destruction of Property and Trespassing.

Eric Tyrrell, age 28, out of Foxborough is also being sought for two counts of Receiving Stolen Property +250 and is shown in the attached photo.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two suspects Denn and Tyrrell is encouraged to call the Foxborough Police, or the law enforcement agency in their area.

The charges against all suspects are only charges and must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Items that have been recovered in the course of the investigation so far include an Apple Watch, a Rolex Watch and two 1800’s rare coins. Other items including firearms owned by our victim, Mr. Robert Goon, have not yet been recovered.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
