A tractor trailer rolled over onto a car on the Exit 14 ramp from I-90 Eastbound in Weston this afternoon, resulting in serious injuries to an operator.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Paul Dabene indicates that at about 12:40 p.m., a 2016 Freightliner tractor trailer, operated by a 28-year-old man from Monroe, Louisiana was traveling in the left lane on the Exit 14 ramp structure from I-90 Eastbound when it rolled over onto a 2017 Nissan Sentra.
The operator of the Sentra, a 59-year-old Framingham man, was flown by MedFlight to Lahey Hospital in Burlington for treatment of serious injuries. His passenger, a 24-year-old woman, was also transported to Lahey for treatment of minor injuries. The operator of the TT and his 42-year-old male passenger from San Bernadino, California were both transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for treatment of minor injuries.
This crash remains under investigation. While no charges have been filed at this time, speed, on the part of the TT operator, is believed to have been a factor.
State Police were assisted on scene by Weston Fire and EMS. A medical doctor who was traveling in that area at the time also provided assistance prior to the arrival of first responders.
