State Police Investigating Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Dedham Parkway in Boston

Last night at approximately 11:45 p.m., State Police received a report of a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Dedham Boulevard East, prior to East Leonard Street in Dedham that resulted in injuries to the pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Kyle Reed and H-Troop Detectives indicates that a 60-year-old Dedham man was walking on Dedham Parkway when he was struck by a vehicle travelling eastbound on Dedham Parkway. The vehicle did not stop and continued traveling eastbound toward Hyde Park.

The pedestrian was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

State Police are seeking to identify the driver and the vehicle, possibly an early 2000’s Nissan light beige or tan that struck this pedestrian. The vehicle should have front end damage and a cracked windshield. If anyone has any information regarding this crash, please contact the State Police at 617-698-5840.
