St. Anne’s Credit Union held its 87th Annual Meeting at the Credit Union’s Corporate Office in Fall River on April 24. Chairman of the Board William R. Bouchard and Board Members Jo Ann Bentley, Claire M. Entel, Kevin Vieira and Yonaton “Yoni” Sunshine were re-elected to their positions while Simone L. Garant was introduced as an Honorary Director and thanked for her 28 years of unwavering dedication to the Credit Union.

Reviewing the highlights of the past year, Chairman William R. Bouchard and President & Chief Executive Officer Eileen M. Danahey shared the Credit Union’s growth in various areas, such as membership, earnings, loans, and savings deposits. This growth enabled the Credit Union to reinvest and provide their members and their businesses with $155.6 million in loans, fostering confidence and financial security.

“In 2022, we expanded our services to reach underserved and underbanked communities by establishing a presence in Norfolk and Suffolk counties, while maintaining our commitment to our roots in Fall River by opening a new branch on Pleasant Street,” said William R. Bouchard. “This increased access to banking and lending opportunities provides greater chances for building household and generational wealth, as well as promoting community vitality.”

Furthermore, St. Anne’s made significant efforts to enhance their delivery channels, aiming for faster, more secure, and intuitive experiences. These efforts included optimizing digital platforms, empowering members to confidently use digital channels, and offering solutions for 24/7 self-service banking – including walk-in or drive-up access, appointment scheduling, and online or mobile banking. Notable advancements included the introduction of Live Video Tellers, enabling video interactions with knowledgeable tellers through the drive-up, as well as the implementation of a unified communications software on stannes.com that provides an enhanced chatbot, secure messaging and more.

From their humble beginnings to the present day, St. Anne’s takes pride in simplifying financial management. They now offer a range of free solutions at stannes.com/financial-tips, including in-person seminars, Lunch and Learns, virtual and on-demand webinars, educational content, financial calculators, and more, all designed to benefit anyone seeking to improve their financial well-being.

“Our organization’s growth and success rely on continuously improving your experience and meeting your needs,” stated Eileen M. Danahey during the meeting. “Our dedication to this commitment has been recognized by the SouthCoast community, naming us the Best Credit Union and Mortgage Lending Company for six consecutive years. Additionally, Cape & Plymouth Business Media honored us as one of the Best Places to Work. We are proud of our accomplishments, confident in our strategy, and inspired by our dedicated team members, as their selfless service is the foundation of our mission to enrich lives and make a positive impact.”

To acknowledge the commitment of their team members, St. Anne’s proudly promoted 30% of their workforce internally in 2022, demonstrating their dedication to fostering growth and recognizing talent within the organization.

Beyond community support provided throughout the year, St. Anne’s remains committed to empowering their members and their children to achieve financial and academic success.
