Skeletal human remains discovered near Cranberry Plaza in Wareham

The Wareham Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal human remains near the Cranberry Plaza.

On Monday, October 21st at 12:13 p.m. patrol officers and detectives responded to an area of thick growth adjacent to the plaza, on the report of possible human remains. The remains were discovered by an individual looking for a lost item.

It is unknown how long the body had been there, and it was concealed by the heavy vegetation. This continues to be an active and on-going investigation, with no further information at this time.
