According to Congressman Joe Kennedy III’s campaign, the following six current and past New Bedford politicians have endorsed Joe Kennedy over Ed Markey in the September Democrat primary race for U.S. Senate:
– New Bedford State Senator Mark Montigny
– New Bedford City Councilor Ian Abreu
– New Bedford City Councilwoman Maria Giesta
– New Bedford City Councilor Brian Gomes
– New Bedford former Mayor Scott Lang
Senator Markey’s campaign has yet to send out endorsements for New Bedford.
