Seven men arrested in north end New Bedford drug sweep on Saturday

Members of the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit targeted street level drug activity in the north end of the city Saturday afternoon. As result 7 males were arrested and charged as followed:

Carlos Carreiro 33
1. Possession of class A heroin
2. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Blain Arruda 32
1. Distribution of class A heroin
2. Distribution of class A heroin subsequent offense (6/2012)
3. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Chad Rebelo 30
1. Possession with intent to distribute class A heroin
2. Possession with intent to distribute class A heroin subsequent offense (6/2016)
3. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Douglas Richards 52
1. Distribution class A heroin
2. Distribution class A heroin subsequent offense (6/2012)
3. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Kyle Gilmete 35
1. Possession of class A heroin
2. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Jonathan Carver 36
1. Distribution of class A heroin
2. Distribution of class A heroin subsequent offense (9/2014)
3. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
4. Warrant

Sean Ribeiro 24
1. Distribution of class A heroin
2. Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Males are scheduled to be arraigned Monday at 3rd District Court.
