Schwartz Center for Children Celebrates Annual Harvest Night

More than 130 children and their family members turned out to enjoy the Schwartz Center for Children’s Harvest Night celebration on Friday, October 26th. The annual event, which is organized by the Center’s Family Involvement Committee, provides accessible fun and activities for children of all abilities.

This year’s activities included pumpkin and cookie decorating, storytelling, and a variety of crafts. Children and their family members came in a variety of costumes for this free night of family fun.

“Jared looks forward to Harvest Night every year – he loves all the activities that the Schwartz Center provides for him.” said parent Cheryl Rowe “His favorite part of Harvest Night is picking his pumpkin and spending time with his friends”.

The Schwartz Center for Children’s mission is helping children achieve their greatest potential. It is able to do this through strong community support, the United Way of Greater New Bedford, and fundraising events throughout the year.

The Schwartz Center is a not-for-profit organization serving children with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities from birth to age 22.  Services include a Day School, an Early Intervention Program, and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Regional Consultation Program, Pediatric Specialty Clinics and a variety of other programs.
