As the holiday season is fast approaching the laurel decorating in the downtown historic district is about to take place. DNB, Inc. is unable to maintain the program as they are diligently working on advocacy, membership and marketing. DNB will sponsor with remaining donations from last year to be used for this year’s decorations. Thank you DNB, Inc.

New Bedford Beautiful committee and the Friends of New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park will coordinate this year’s laurel decorating in the historic district. Please thank both groups for their support and we look forward to a beautifully decorated district. The coordinator is soliciting donations and organizing volunteers to continue the holiday tradition. Thank you Jessica! All funds for decorations must be collected by Friday November 24, 2017. They are looking to raise $2,500 for fresh strands of laurel and some replacement red bows as needed to decorate the Historic lampposts located in the National Park. You can choose to make your donation in any amount OR for a certain amount of lampposts. The cost per lamppost is $18.00. 100% of the proceeds go toward the laurel project.
