Real estate investment trust that owns the Dartmouth Mall files for banruptcy

The Dartmouth Mall has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection announced the real estate investment trust that owns the popular shopping destination on Sunday.

The decision supported by its first and second lien holders was made as a way to restructure debt and enact a plan to reorganize its total indebtedness by $880 million and emerge from the decision early in 2024.

There is expected to be no interruption to operations.
