The Knights of Columbus Raise Funds for Little Flower Home

The Kights of Columbus raised $625 for the Little Flower Home.

The Knights of Columbus Father Hogan Council #14236 in Dartmouth raised $625.00 for the Little Flower Home. The Little Flower Home provides comfortable private room(s) in shared apartments or shared homes for pregnant women and their children. It is provided at no cost for women that are in need, dealing with domestic violence, or are under undue pressure. Hosting services for pregnant women are provided in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. They also assist those wanting to learn more about becoming a host family for women in need.

The Knights hosted a St. Patrick’s Day dinner event at St. Mary’s church in Dartmouth. The event was filled with Irish food and music and was extremely well attended. Students from Faith Formation at St. Mary’s also volunteered and assisted during the event. Representatives from the Little Flower Home were also in attendance. They shared more information about their wonderful efforts.

The Knights of Columbus is a Roman Catholic fraternal service organization with approximately 16,000 councils and 1.9 million members in the United States. There are also roughly 200 councils on college campuses as well. The Knights participate in many charitable events and work with a variety of nonprofit groups to support the community. The Knights of Columbus stand for four core principles which are charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. The Knights donated more than $175 million dollars to charity and volunteered over 75 million hours last year. The Knights of Columbus Father Hogan Council serve the Dartmouth parishes of St. Julies and St. Mary’s.
