Police are investigating a report of overnight breaking and entering at City Hall.

An Election Commission office first-floor window was breached late Sunday night. The window faces the narrow space between City Hall and the SRTA parking garage. Approximately $120 was missing from the Election Commission office’s petty cash drawer.

No election records or computer equipment were reported missing, and there was no evidence of entry into any other City Hall offices.

The New Bedford Police Department is investigating the incident and reviewing information from the building’s alarm and camera systems.
