Last night at approximately 6:45pm an armed robbery took place at the Perry’s Variety Store at 274 Cedar St. in the west end. The clerk was not harmed.
The suspect entered the store and asked for cigarettes. He then produced a knife and demanded cartons of cigarettes. After obtaining them, he fled out of the building and was last seen running north on Cedar St.
He is described as a light skinned male, in his 30’s, with facial hair and a blue puffy coat.
