Police capture man wanted for rape in Yarmouth

Convicted Felon and Level 3 Sex Offender Kevin F. Cahoon was held overnight at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and transported to the Barnstable District Court by Yarmouth Police Officers for his arraignment.

During the arraignment, Cahoon was charged with additional crimes for resisting arrest and attacking a Police Officer. His previous bail was revoked and he is now incarcerated with no bail.

The Yarmouth Police Department commends Proactive Anti-Crime Unit Officer Nicholas Ambrosini for spotting Cahoon yesterday morning, overcoming his attacks and resistance, and making the arrest. We also commend off-duty Wellfleet Police Department Sergeant Michael Turner and off-duty Yarmouth Police Sergeant Andrew O’Malley for promptly coming to his aid and helping to remove Cahoon from the community and take him in to custody.
