Police arrest two with stolen vehicle and crack cocaine on North Front Street

Members of the New Bedford Police Department gang unit recovered a stolen vehicle and took 4.3 grams of crack cocaine off the streets at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday following the arrest of two individuals.

Police located the stolen 2006 black Mercedes-Benz S430 at North Front and Tallman streets. After further investigation, they located a total of 4.3 grams of crack cocaine, cash and packaging consistent with street-level narcotics sales on the two individuals.

Brandon Frank, 19, and Kessy C. Torres, 29, both New Bedford, were charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Both suspects have open cases in Third District Court in New Bedford for receiving a stolen motor vehicle regarding an incident on Dec. 14, 2016.

  1. How come all the crimes in New Bedford that are published in paper or online, never mention if the scumbags are illegal aliens. Get busyed, get out on bail, don’t show up for court. Hmmm, I have never seen such a mess as this city is in. Something big needs to be done to clean it up. No one in their right mind moves here these days, except for more illegal criminals!!
