New England Police Agencies to Launch Coordinated Enforcement Campaign

WHAT: Highway safety officials and state and local enforcement agencies from the six New England states will launch a coordinated, simultaneous enforcement mobilization aimed at reducing speed related crashes, injuries and fatalities. Vehicles used in the enforcement mobilization will be on display.

WHO: Michael Geraci, Regional Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Region 1; Jennifer D. Queally, Undersecretary for Law Enforcement, Executive Office of Public Safety and Security; Colonel Richard D. McKeon, Superintendent Massachusetts State Police; Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast, State Highway Safety representatives and local and state law enforcement representatives from Mass., Conn., Maine, R.I., and Vt.

WHEN: Thursday, July 30 at 11 a.m.

WHERE: Squantum Point Park at Marina Bay in Quincy, MA – From Boston – US-1 South to exit 12, Rt 3A South. Continue over the Neponset Bridge onto Quincy Shore
Drive and bear left on East Squantum Street. Turn left and take Victory Road into the Squantum Point parking lot.

• Helicopters, motorcycles, marked and unmarked cruisers
• Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Alcohol Unit
