P.A.C.E.’s Sixteenth Annual Family Discovery Fair

PACE Inc., Child Care Works kicks off the Week of the Young Child by offering their 16th Annual FREE Family Discovery Fair on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The Week of the Young Child is a time designated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC focuses attention on the needs of young children, their families, and the childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

Child Care Works will be sponsoring this Family Discovery Fair on Saturday, April 18th at the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School located at 1121 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA. P.A.C.E. Inc., Child Care Works is a non-profit program dedicated to the education and safety of young children. This community event is collaboration between the communities of New Bedford, Dartmouth, Acushnet and Fairhaven. It will be free and open to the public from 10:00am to 2:00 pm.

Featured performers include Toe Jam Puppet Band, Big Ryan’s Tall Tales, Storyteller David Mello, Family Zumba with Jacqui; bubble bounces and much more. This day will also include free art & open ended activity tables provided by local child care educators as well as many resource tables. Local businesses Domino’s Pizza (Ashley Blvd.) and Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School have made donations to help make this event a success.

Also, many area Child Care Educators have given their time and great effort to see that children and their families receive Brain Building Activities (www.brainbuildinginprogress.org), quality education information, and the best opportunities they can obtain. Fun 107 will be broadcasting with a live remote from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The community will come together on this day to celebrate our greatest asset… our children!
