PACE announces Open Enrollment for Health Insurance

PACE announces Open Enrollment for those who need health insurance. The open enrollment period is from November 1, 2021 – January 23, 2022.

PACE’s Health Access will have Health Connector Navigators available to assist anyone who would like to apply for health insurance through the Health Connector or with MassHealth.

During Open Enrollment, anyone without health insurance can enroll into coverage for 2022. This includes people who may have lost their job and work-based health insurance in 2021 and have been without coverage. Additionally, people who may have enrolled in COBRA coverage after losing a job this year can apply for coverage and find out if they qualify for subsidized coverage through the Health Connector, which through the ConnectorCare program provides plans with reduced premiums and co-pays, and no deductibles – and will likely be far more affordable than COBRA plans.

Ginny DeSilva, PACE Health Access Director explains, “Our Navigators are hard at work assisting any person who needs health insurance remotely. They can be reached by phone or email, as our office is currently closed due to the COVID Pandemic. We can be reached at 508-999-9920.

In addition, the Senior Health Specialist can assist anyone over 65 with their applications for Medicare Part A, Part B, and Part D; Medigap Insurance, Medicare HMOs, retiree insurance plans, prescription drug programs, Medicaid and Medicare. Seniors should call 508-999-9920 or email
