OPINION: Should veterans parking violations be treated the same as handicapped parking violations?

“I think the veterans parking spot should be treated just like a handicap parking spot but that is my opinion. I asked the question in case someone could make a point to change how I look at it.

Most people agree but the gray area is if it is actually a veteran without the plates. I wouldn’t know if a person was handicapped and parked in a handicapped spot without the correct plates and I don’t know how the laws apply to businesses parking policy since this was at Lowe’s and not on a public street.

I posted on my Facebook and I’ve been asked the same questions [about how to tell] and I think that in order to take advantage of those amenities you should go through the process of being identified and have the plates for these very reasons.”-Ray Rouke.
