Many city residents received a post in the mail recently describing the street sweeping program that will run from April 5th to November 1st. “There will be no parking on both sides of the street overnight from midnight Thursday to 6am Friday. Failure to follow the posted street sweeping signs will result in your vehicle being towed.”
One resident voiced her opinion on the program and her concerns:
Can somebody please tell me how this is even going to work??? No parking on either side on a main street? I could see one side at a time but both sides?
How are people supposed to find parking when the side streets are so heavily engulfed with cars? Even during a blizzard we get one side for parking. I’m sorry but this is just absolutely ridiculous and not well thought out at all. – Mary-Jo Costeira
