On Oct 16 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Rev. Lima and other concerned people participated in “One Homeless Night … is Too Many” by sleeping in boxes and single person tents at the Normandin Middle School’s athletic field. The goal was to spread awareness and raise funds for the homeless. The Mobile Loaves & Fishes truck provided the food and server 40,000 to 50,000 meals to New Bedford’s homeless each year. Over $100,000 was raised that night!
