One dead after three attempted suicides in New Bedford last night

There were three suicide attempts in New Bedford on Sunday, July 30, 2017 with one person succumbing to their injuries.

Police are not releasing full details, but the completed suicide attempt was on Clark Street at 8:59 am. The attempted suicides were on Church Street at 6:19am and at the McDonald’s restaurant on King’s Highway at 12:52am.

These suicide attempts follow a completed suicide last month when a 39-year-old New Bedford man found hanging at Fort Taber.
