Nominees for the 2017 International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA)

The International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA) organizers are proud to announce the nominees for their 5 th annual Award Show. The event will be held on Saturday, April 22, starting at 7:00PM at the majestic Zeiterion Theatre located in historic downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts. Awards will be presented in 11 different categories. This year’s nominee’s hail from 8 different countries. In addition, two artists have been chosen as finalists in the “New Talent Category” and will perform live the night of the Award Show while being judged by music industry professionals. The winner will be chosen and announced during the event.

The 2017 International Portuguese Music Awards includes performances by various prominent artists including, Portuguese-Brazilian recording artist and Latin Grammy award-winner Daniela Mercury (this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient), and Portuguese recording artist Olavo Bilac (singer of the legendary rock band “Santos e Pecadores”). Following the 2017 IPMA Awards Show will be a spectacular After-Party at The Cultural Center located in Fall River, MA. All performers will be on hand the night before for the 2017 red-carpet Gala to be held at the Cultural Center, in Fall River, MA. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans to meet some of their favorite artists.
