New Hampshire man dies in Tewksbury crash

A Friday evening motor vehicle crash on Route 495 in Tewskbury resulted in the death of 37-year old Robert Flagg of Peterborough, NH.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Christopher Ryan indicates that a 37-year-old man from Peterborough, New Hampshire, was traveling on Route 495 Southbound in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck the tree line. The operator and sole occupant, who was unbelted at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle. He was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of this crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, troopers assigned to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

State Police were assisted on scene by Tewksbury Fire and EMS and MassDOT.
