Sergeant Jonathon Fiore of New Bedford, MA was recognized by the New England Revolution for his 13 years of service as a member of the United States Air National Guard at Gillette Stadium on April 14.

New England Revolution Honors Local Hero Air National Guard’s Sergeant Jonathon Fiore of New Bedford

The New England Revolution honored United State Air National Guard Technical Sergeant Jonathon Fiore from New Bedford, MA as the Hero of the Match at the team’s home game Saturday, April 14th against FC Dallas. In honor of One Boston Day, Jonathon was recognized during a pregame ceremony for his 13 years of service as a member of the United States Air National Guard and for his support during the Boston Marathon Bombing. He had a sideline view of the Revs pregame warmups and enjoyed the game from the Putnam Club.

Sergeant Fiore has provided stateside support for Operation Big Ice, recent hurricanes, and the Boston Marathon Bombing. While stationed in the Kingdom of Bahrain as the lead power production technician of the Communications Squadron, he was deployed to support the Boston Marathon Bombing by providing a safe communication signal for the police and fire personnel on-site.
