The COVID-19 pandemic altered everyone’s lives, especially activities, events, and social gatherings. One of those casualties was an annual event that New Bedford residents looked forward to every summer: Joe Jesus”50s Night.’

If you are one of the unfortunate who have never been to the beloved event over the past 2 decades, it is a spectacular classic car show whereby car enthusiasts from the region and beyond are encouraged to come in their best Grease-inspired duds, and view the outdoor exhibit as well as revel in the days of old with swinging live music, street food, family-friendly activities, and much more. Festival-goers will even be able to interact directly with vintage car owners, for this one-of-a-kind experience.

This year Joe Jesus’ ’50s Night will take place on Thursday, July 21 and if it rains, the event will be moved to the following Thursday, July 28. Hot rods, vintage cars, a closed-off street packed with families, food offerings, and classic music – a great time for all!
