Two New Bedford women arrested for trafficking Fentanyl

Two New Bedford women have been charged with trafficking in fentanyl by New Bedford narcotics detectives.

On Tuesday, September 7, narcotics detectives concluded an investigation into a fentanyl distribution service being conducted out of 52 Allen St., #3. The targets of the investigation were KERRIE DUGAS, 43 and SACHA COSTANZO, 40. As a result of this search, detectives located approximately 49 grams of fentanyl, packaging materials, cutting agent and digital scales. $2849 was also seized as a result of being proceeds from drug distribution.

Both parties were taken into custody and charged with trafficking in fentanyl in excess of 36 grams and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws. The lead investigator was Det. Lavar Gilbert.
