New Bedford woman wins $4 million ‘Gold Rush’ lottery prize

Susana Gaspar of New Bedford is the second $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Gold Rush” instant ticket game.

Gaspar chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes). Her winning ticket was purchased at Café San Paulo, 431 Bolton St. in New Bedford. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

One additional $4 million prize and three $1 million prizes are yet to be claimed in the “$4,000,000 Gold Rush” $10 instant game.

  1. shame on her for sealing that ticket from an older gentleman who went to her and she told him it was only 4000 and gave him 0nly 3200,,…. she should be locked up Shame on her

    That ticket was fraudulently stolen from that Portugese man! There is NO WAY he has a picture of the winning ticket on
    his cell phone ( that his wife took) if it wasn’t his !!! Those two women need to be arrested!! What is taking so long?!?
    Give the man his ticket!!!
