New Bedford woman hits parked car after overdosing while driving

A 21-year-old New Bedford woman was charged with operating under the influence of drugs after her vehicle struck a parked car Monday evening near 287 North Front Street in New Bedford.

Kayla M. Fournier, 21, of New Bedford was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for evaluation.

An immediate threat of license revocation was submitted to the Registry of Motor Vehicles. NBPD Officer George Lozado responded to the incident, which was reported at 7:14 p.m.
