On Friday evening at approximately 5:15pm members of the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at 395 No. Front St. apt. 3 after an investigation by Det. Julio Martinez. The target of the investigation was taken into custody as she arrived home.
As a result of the search, 58 grams of heroin and $1,072 in cash was recovered.
The target’s 17 year old son was found in the apartment and he was also in possession of heroin. The investigation revealed that she was using her son to facilitate her drug operation. The Department of Child and Family services was notified and has opened an investigation.
She was arraigned Monday in New Bedford district court.
