New Bedford to host low-cost rabies clinic on April 7

The City of New Bedford, through its Office of Animal Control, will host a low-cost rabies clinic to vaccinate dogs, cats and ferrets in New Bedford and surrounding communities from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7 at Hazelwood Park Community Center, Brock Avenue, and at Brooklawn Park Community Center, Acushnet Avenue.

The vaccination fee is $10 per animal. City of New Bedford dog licenses, which must be renewed on an annual basis, will also be available. All licenses issued in 2017 have expired. The fee is $10 for a spayed/neutered dog and $20 for a non-spayed/non-neutered dog.
