“The Department of Public Infrastructure will temporarily shut down a water main supplying an area of downtown New Bedford beginning at 9:00 PM through 5:00 AM on Monday, July 26.

The shutdown will result in the temporary loss of water service during this period. Some customers in the affected area may not experience loss of service for the full duration (9:00 PM through 5:00 AM), but most will experience an extended period of water service loss within this overnight timeframe.

The shutdown is related to an ongoing road and utility construction project at Union Street and Sixth Street. The affected area lies in a rectangle generally bordered by County Street in the west, Purchase Street in the east, North Street in the north, and Madison Street in the south.”-City of New Bedford.
