New Bedford Police investigating woman who was assaulted, shotspotter activation and separate stabbing incident

City of New Bedford Police Department Detectives are actively investigating several incidents from Saturday.

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to a call for a woman who was assaulted near Shaw St. and Acushnet Ave. and suffered minor lacerations.

Shortly after noon Saturday, a stabbing victim arrived at St. Luke’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was uncooperative with investigating officers.

Shotspotter was activated at 11 p.m. Saturday near 153 Acushnet Ave. No victims were reported.
