New Bedford police warn of phone scam misrepresenting them

The New Bedford Police Department is reporting a phone scam that is falsely representing the NBPD and asking for money:

“We are receiving reports that people are receiving calls from people claiming to be representing the New Bedford Police Department and asking for money. We are not collecting money for anything so please hang up and do not give any money or personal information.”
