New Bedford Police Department’s annual summer cap for city youths a huge success

“Last Friday, the New Bedford Police Department concluded its 2021 Summer camp for city youths.

Throughout the month of July, our amazing school resource officers conduct week-long programs during which children engage in athletics, travel on field-trips and participate in fun activities. This year was a blast, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the youth of the city in such a great way!

We’d like to give special thanks to owner Carol Medeiros and the staff at “Caddyshack” (900 State Rd., Dartmouth) for graciously providing free mini-golf and bumper-boat rides to our camp kids!

We’d like to thank the owners of “Flagship Cinema” in West Wareham (39 Doty St.) for giving the kids a free movie in a theater which they had all to themselves!

We’d like to thank the NB School Department for funding our bowling trips, and Buttonwood Park Zoo for giving camp members a free day with their amazing animals!

Please have a look at some pictures from this year’s camp. See you next year!”-City of New Bedford Police Department.
