New Bedford police detectives seize weapons and narcotics during raid

New Bedford detectives assigned to the Narcotics and Gang Units have seized two firearms and numerous narcotics intended for distribution.

On July 21, detectives executed a search warrant at 80 Adams St., #3. The target of the investigation was GLENN LOPES, 28. As a result of the search, 18 grams of cocaine, 69 bags of fentanyl, 195 grams of packaged marijuana and $810 were seized, along with a loaded 22 caliber rifle and a loaded 380 caliber handgun. The handgun was later found to have been stolen out of Connecticut.

Lopes was placed under arrest on numerous charges including; Possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm without license (2 counts), possession of ammunition, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

The lead investigator was Detective Jordan Dasilva.
