New Bedford Police seize three guns and $12,000 in drugs over the weekend

Detectives from the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit executed three separate search warrants in different parts of the city over the weekend. These efforts resulted in several arrests and confiscation of cocaine, fentanyl, and oxycodone at a street value of $12,000 along with three guns.

Angel Luis Rivera, 40, 893 County St. Apt. 2 was the target of the first warrant and was charged with trafficking cocaine and drug possession. Upon searching his residence, officers located 83.5 grams of cocaine, $2,438 and a 9mm gun.

The second warrant targeted Jordan A. Raposo, 26, of 12 Briggs St. Apt. 3. Police stopped a vehicle leaving 12 Briggs St., and both Raposo and Shyla Devin Bizarro, 25, were detained. After searching 12 Briggs St. Apt. 2, both Raposo and Bizarro were charged with trafficking fentanyl. Officers located 21.3 grams fentanyl, paraphernalia and $760 and two 9mm guns in the apartment. Two pit bulls were also removed by animal control.

Tyrell Martin, 19, of 74 Bluefield St was also charged with cocaine trafficking over the weekend. Officers discovered 25 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials and $689 cash in his residence at 74 Bluefield St.
