New Bedford Police arrest repeat offender for drug trafficking

Narcotics detectives have arrested a man for cocaine trafficking.

On November 10, 2021, detectives assigned to the ‘Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau” executed a search warrant at 98 Liberty St., #2N. The target of the investigation was DEMINGO BROWNING, 47. As a result of the search, detectives located over 115 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials and over $1600 in cash.

BROWNING was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in cocaine in excess of 100 grams, possession with intent to distribute subsequent to a previous conviction, and a motor vehicle offense. The cash was seized as proceeds from illicit drug trade. BROWNING has been arrested for drug distribution in the past, with his last conviction being for trafficking in Class B in 2017.

The lead investigator was Det. T. Soares.
