“**This holiday weekend, please remember: ALCOHOL IS THE LEADING CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IN FATAL BOATING ACCIDENTS**

Operation “Dry Water” is a year-round boating under the influence awareness and enforcement campaign. The 2021 national Operation Dry Water heightened awareness and enforcement three-day weekend will take place July 2-4, 2021. The mission of ODW is to reduce the number of alcohol- and drug-related accidents and fatalities through increased recreational boater awareness and by fostering a stronger and more visible deterrent to alcohol use on the water.

The Boating Under the Influence Report and Dashboard were produced in 2019 to act as a common knowledge-based of resources and data to document what is currently known about the problem of alcohol use on the water.
