New Bedford Police Department seeks public’s help to identify robbery suspect

The NBPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a male involved in three separate north-end robberies occurring within the last month.

Robberies occurred at Walgreens at the corner of Tarkiln Hill and Acushnet Ave. on April 23 and St. Anne’s Credit Union at 3087 Acushnet Ave. on April 29 and again on May 12. The suspect is white male, approximately 5’9, and heavy-set with a medium complexion.

He is known to produce a black firearm, and provide notes demanding money. During each robbery, the suspect was masked and wearing gray sweatpants, black zipped sweatshirt with a white t-shirt underneath, and a black skull cap.
