The suspect began leaving the area on foot but was apprehended nearby by west-end patrol officers; J. Marinelli and A. Ryder. The suspect was identified as DEVIN BRYCE PACHECO, 20, of 43 Newton St. PACHECO was placed under arrest and charged with indecent assault and battery.

PACHECO was involved in a similar incident several months ago at a local supermarket. On August 22, he approached a woman as she was shopping in a store aisle and groped her from behind. On that date, he was placed under arrest by Ofc. D. Raymond who was working a paid detail. That case remains open at New Bedford district court.
